Choosing the Right Flowers for Each Occasion

Choosing the right flowers for each occasion

Each type of occasion is best celebrated with the appropriate gift. When it comes to fresh flowers, it's important to understand the fact that each flower is associated with a different meaning or message. It's important to understand these meanings if you want to make sure that your flower delivery is well received.

Birthday flowers

Birthday flowers should be selected according to the preferences of the recipient. In other words, if the recipient likes roses, you could send them a bouquet of roses. If you are not sure about the message that each colour sends, your safest bet is to opt for a mixed bouquet. They will still get to enjoy a luxurious bunch of roses, but the medley of colours will ensure that they feel the joy.

Romantic flowers

The most popular type of flower to send for romantic occasions is the rose and the most popular colour is red. Red roses are the number one choice for anniversaries and Valentines Day alike. That said, other red flowers can also be sent and you could even opt for a pink bouquet if you know that the recipient prefers pink flowers to red ones.

Sympathy flowers

When somebody passes away, it is considered polite and thoughtful to offer your support by sending sympathy flowers. For the most part, these arrangements consist of white flowers and lush green foliage. That said, since flowers help boost the mood, you could send colourful flowers too. Specially designed colourful sympathy flower arrangements help offer comfort without coming across as disrespectful.

Thank you flowers

Whether you want to thank your host or express your gratitude for somebody's assistance or support, it's always a good idea to think about their personal preferences. When you send somebody a bouquet of their favourite blooms, you are letting them know that you have been paying attention and you notice even the smaller details. If their favourite flowers happen to be red roses and you do not want to send a romantic message, you can always send a mixed bouquet that includes red roses.

Christmas flowers

The holidays is a time for sharing and spreading that Christmas joy. When you send flowers for Christmas, you might want to send something suited for the season. In other words, a bouquet that includes red, white, and green is a great idea. Gold accessories also work particularly well. Alternatively, you can send a poinsettia or even a Christmas cactus if you prefer.
