Choosing the Right Fence

By Danielcarruthers

yorkshire boarding fence Sometimes you look in the obvious places and you just can’t find the right thing.  For instance finding the right fencing can be tricky unless you have serious money available,  otherwise it all looks pretty much of a muchness. Or you want to fence your allotment and don’t want to pay garden center prices for fence posts and wire netting.  My solution is to trawl through websites that sell products to farmers and smallholders to see if  I can find alternative solutions at good prices.  This is how I came across Yorkshire Boarding and Cladding which would be good fencing for a vegetable patch and Stockboarding (also less alluringly known as Dungboard) which is a sturdy timber alternative to breezeblock walling and possibly just the thing to retain the terraces on our hilly allotment.

I found both these and other things for gardeners and smallholders at Mole Valley Farmers. They have a shopping cart facility so you can order your fence supplies directly online or if you prefer you can give them a call on 08456 03522.
