DPRK state media reported on 15 January (Wednesday) that VMar Choe Ryong Hae, Director of the Korean People’s Army [KPA] General Political Department, visited the construction of dormitories for the employees of the Kim Jong Suk (Kim Cho’ng-suk) Pyongyang Textile Mill.  KCNA reported that “soldier-builders out in the building of dormitory true to the noble intention of Supreme Commander Kim Jong Un (Kim Cho’ng-u’n) are demonstrating a-match-for-a-hundred spirit in carrying out the interior project in the wake of completing the frame project in a brief span of time.”  Choe Ryong Hae was briefed about the construction and logistical issues around construction materials.  According to KCNA, Choe “had discussions on measures to ensure on a high level the quality of structures on the basis of the experience in completing various construction projects at the ‘Masikryo’ng speed’ and introduce the heating system by use of geothermal water.” He also said that “Kim Jong Un in his New Year Address set it forth as an important task to build many structures for improving the living conditions of the people” and called “for giving full play to the revolutionary soldier spirit once again in the building of the dormitory, true to the intention of the Workers’ Party of Korea.”
