Kansas City Chiefs defensive tackle Isaiah Buggs was arrested for domestic violence/burglary in Alabama and released on bond. He had been previously charged with animal cruelty. The Chiefs were aware of the situation but declined to comment. Buggs, who signed a contract with Kansas City, has played for the Pittsburgh Steelers and Detroit Lions. The Chiefs had planned to use him to strengthen their defensive line, but have since made other signings. The team has had other players facing legal issues recently, including wide receiver Rashee Rice and offensive linemen Chukwuebuka Godrick and Wanya Morris.
