Are you cold? Eat curry.
Better yet, eat curry made by someone who knows curry. Our couchsurfer is from Pakistan (but he lives in Germany) and offered to cook, though a bit worried about whether he’d be able to find the spices he needed. I opened up my cupboard and handed him packets of spice that I brought from Canada a year ago, and the brand happened to be from Pakistan. I couldn’t have planned that better myself.
He was also worried that the dish might be too spicy, but it was PERFECT. There is simply nothing better in January than basmati rice and chicken curry, in my hungry opinion.
