The first week of consistently warm weather has broken in Chicago and we’re already thinking ahead for summer outdoor festivals and fun.
For that weekend when fast food, drive-thrus, and BBQs get tired, stop by the Chicago Food Truck Festival.
The festival will run on June 25 and 26 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the newly developed South Loop Green Space off of State Street.
As their Facebook event suggests, “Family, Food, and Fun” is the focus of this year’s festival.
40-50 food trucks will be featured, ranging from both regular and taste-size portions of a variety of food. We’re so excited about the festival, we’ve even categorized the current list of food trucks for you:

To wash everything down, this year’s new developments include the new sangria garden and an expansion of the beer, wine, and spirit selections.
For the family, outdoor games such as Jenga, corn hole, and volleyball are available.
There will also be live entertainment and giveaways throughout the day.
Most importantly, admission is to Chicago Food Truck Festival is FREE.
To beat the lines, VIP access tickets are available starting at $6.27 for non-drink tickets and $11.54 for drink tickets.
