By Pamelascott

Cherry Blossom Days, by Sandy Benitez, is a petite collection of ethereal love poems; a love story that unfolds within the season of Spring infused with memories of the Pacific Northwest and Asian imagery.

This is my first time reading the poet. I really enjoyed the poems in this collection. They were very personal and I felt like the poet was talking to me or confiding a secret at times. Benitez knows how to write poetry and these were a pleasure to read. There's something just lovely about some of these poems. I particularly enjoyed The Path of A Pearl, Japanese Garden Manito Park, I Have Always Been Haiku, Touched and Rose Hill.
