Tom Bergeron and Erin Andrews leave the ballroom stage on the left.
Bergeron who was the host Dance with the stars tweeted from the start that after 15 years of service he would no longer host the ABC hit. A few days after the news of his exit came to light, it was revealed Tyra Banks will assume hosting responsibilities and act as executive producer, while the show is heading in a "new creative direction" according to a press release.
"Just informed [ Dancing With the Stars] will go on without me. It was an incredible 15-year run and the most unexpected gift of my career, "Bergeron wrote." I am thankful for it and for the lifelong friendships. That said, what should I do with all these glitter masks now? "
Andrews, who has been co-moderator since 2014, will also leave. ABC and BBC Studios said in a statement: "Fans have chosen her since she originally ran as a contestant in 2010, and her sense of signature humor has become a hallmark of the show."
