Verdict on Cheat
Cheat is a horror thriller following a promising college student that finds herself caught up in a curse. After moving to a new town, she finds herself haunted by a local legend that targets people who cheat on their loved ones. She must work with the other locals to learn about the legend if she hopes to stop it.
This movie brings to life an urban legend surrounding a small town with terrifying consequences. It dives into the idea of a foreboding figure following people in the same manner It Follows created. The movie manages to crawl under your skin with the haunting spirit coming slowly for its victims.
Corin Clay in the leading role is wonderful, showing us an outsider coming to the town. While the supporting cast is great too.
Final Thoughts –Cheat crawls under the skin with a foreboding feeling throughout.
