Copyblogger published an interesting article several years ago, making the argument that blogs are indeed social media, despite the fact that people tend to put them in a category all on their own these days.

This article tries to shed some light into the alternatives of creating social networks completely on Azure with low-cost services and providing great results by encouraging the use of a multi-layered storage solution and data distribution called "Ladder".

Talk to most small businesses about social media, and they want to know how to get more fans and followers. But what if you already have a large following? How do you turn those fans into customers? That's the challenge Meg Faure, founder of The Baby...

There's a lot of iffy, clicky content. Snapchat's Discover feature offers a grab-bag of articles, videos, and quizzes from magazine publishers, TV networks, and online sources mostly about pop culture, celebrities, and relationships (a typical headline: "THIS is What Sex Does To Your Brain").

The brands you follow on Instagram may be paying close attention to you - very close attention, in fact. Union Metrics, the social analytics company behind the Twitter analytics service TweetReach, added an Instagram analytics tool on Wednesday. A m...

Thanks for this info! My 14 year old step-daughter just got a new iPhone, so I was setting up the restricted websites. I also wanted to put out there that a website called wattpad.com is a bad place for kids to go, along with creepypasta.com. In the past we've found my daughter reading extremely hard core pornographic "fanfiction" stories. S&M stuff, I mean really hard core nastiness. And if you see anything with "X Reader", it's not a great sign. Also, I wanted to mention that Undertale could lead to some nasty stuff. It seems to be a fave story/game among the middle schoolers in our community. If anyone else knows of any random off the beaten path sites, please post them here!

If you play your cards right, you can get your content and offers in front of a huge audience at a very low cost. Most social media platforms offer incredibly granular targeting capabilities, allowing you to focus your budget on exactly the types of people that are most likely to be interested in your business. Below are some tips and resources for getting started with paid social media marketing:

David Fincher's The Social Network is the stunning tale of a new breed of cultural insurgent: a punk genius who sparked a revolution and changed the face of human interaction for a generation, and perhaps forever. Shot through with emotional brutality and unexpected humor, this superbly crafted film chronicles the formation of Facebook and the battles over ownership that followed upon the website's unfathomable success. With a complex, incisive screenplay by Aaron Sorkin and a brilliant cast including Jesse Eisenberg, Andrew Garfield and Justin Timberlake, The Social Network bears witness to the birth of an idea that rewove the fabric of society even as it unraveled the friendship of its creators.
