Users of the Solana ($22) network will soon be able to communicate with the network via an open-source app on ChatGPT, OpenAI’s artificial intelligence (AI) chatbot.
When OpenAI makes plugins available, Solana Labs, the firm behind the Solana blockchain, announced in a tweet on April 25 that the plugin will allow ChatGPT to check wallet balances, trade Solana-native tokens, and buy nonfungible tokens.
Solana Labs also invites developers to experiment with the open-source code in order to obtain on-chain information that may be of interest to them.

Solana Labs published a screenshot demonstrating how ChatGPT may retrieve a list of all NFTs associated with a specific Solana address. This list contains a link to the NFT’s information, which was most likely obtained via Solana Labs’ block explorer.
Solana Labs did not specify whether the plugin would be shared until OpenAI made the plugin function available to everyone.
The new ChatGPT apps gather information from online sources and communicate with third-party websites to carry out the user’s instructions. The feature is currently being rolled out to all users.

The grants range from $5k to $25k, and both new and existing projects are eligible.

However, not everyone is pleased with the outcome.
One Twitter user suggested that Solana first create a “working block explorer,” while another wondered what good it would do for the ecosystem.

ChatGPT users can now remove their chat records
The same day, OpenAI announced that ChatGPT users can now “turn off” their chat history with the use of a new privacy feature.
The team announced the new feature’s availability on April 25 in a statement. The new feature’s purpose is to provide people more control over their data. In addition, the company:
“Conversations that are started when chat history is disabled won’t be used to train and improve our models, and won’t appear in the history sidebar.”
In OpenAI, the feature may be found in the ChatGPT settings, which can be updated at any moment.
According to OpenAI, deleted discussions will be kept for 30 days so that offensive content may be reviewed and vetted. All of the talks will be over once it is completed.
The AI startup also included a new “export” option that allows consumers to download and better understand their data.
Italy just became the first European jurisdiction to prohibit ChatGPT unless it complies with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which establishes privacy requirements for European Union users. The new privacy option is available at the same time.
