ChatGFT parent AI faces competition from NFT project making 3D avatars with text

OpenAI, which makes the language tool ChatGPT and the image generator Dall-E, could face new competition on the blockchain that works in three dimensions.

Character GPT, “the world’s first multimodal AI system,” is an artificial-intelligence-powered non-fungible token (NFT) initiative by Alithea.

In an introduction video, the company believes users can type to create responsive avatars with “unique personalities, identities, traits, voices and bodies.” NFT mining is possible on Mycharacter.ai. CharacterGPT may follow ChatGPT or OpenAI’s bot-powered Dull-E, which has 1.5 million daily users.

Not ChatGPT but CharacterGPT will compete with DAL-e. Its ability to compose quality articles, cover letters, emails, and messages has attracted the attention of dating app developers.

Dall-E, on the other hand, has gotten artists into trouble. They say that the platform steals from real-life creators and can trick people into thinking that its high-quality images are real. On the other hand, Alethea AI’s website says that CharacterGPT will also let people make “digital twins,” companions, virtual assistants, and parody figures.

“Generative AI is advancing rapidly and has the potential to make a profound impact on our lives in the years to come,” Polygon co-founder Sandeep Nailwal said in a statement. “I have seen firsthand how Alethea AI has developed this technology over the years and through its CharacterGPT AI engine, users will be able to create interactive characters in a matter of seconds.”
