Fresh off of having his CBS pilot not get picked up, Charlie Cox has landed the lead role in Netflix’s upcoming Daredevil TV series. You might recognize Cox from Boardwalk Empire, or Stardust. He’s virtually an unknown, which is an odd choice considering that Netflix could have probably gotten anyone they wanted for the part.
He only really has to live up to the expectation of being a better Daredevil than Ben Affleck, but most of the problem with Affleck’s film was in the poor writing and direction, and not in his acting specifically.
