Most people know Fiery Ron’s Home Team BBQ as being voted the BEST in Charleston for BBQ, Ribs & Wings. What many do not know is, Home Team BBQs are chef-driven restaurants. With two locations in Charleston, SC, Aaron Siegel created Home Team BBQ with idea of combining traditional processes and techniques of classical cuisine with the simplicity of comfort food, BBQ, and Southern fare. His restaurants feature traditional BBQ fair with Memphis-style dry rubbed Ribs and Chicken, a Texas-style braised and smoked Brisket along with Eastern North Carolina-style Pork Butts. The BBQ is complemented by traditional Southern sides such as creamy grits, smoked gouda mac and cheese, cornbread, squash casserole, and collard greens. However, it was Home Team’s Death Relish on BBQ Nachos “Ronchos” that caught the eye of the Food Network and was recently seen on Heat Seekers.

While Home Team BBQ’s menu accommodates every appetite with traditional authentic BBQ offerings, both locations also feature a larger menu of tempting choices of appetizers, salads, stews, quesadillas, wraps and tacos. In addition to award-winning menu selections, Home Team offers large party takeout orders, full service catering and delivery. With entertainment every evening including live music with up-and-coming blues, bluegrass, rock, country, and alternative country artists and plenty of TVs offering sports, the bar also provides a fun nightlife scene. Executive Chef & Owner Aaron Siegel

Aaron Siegel’s years of knowledge and experience began with a degree from the University of Georgia and was seasoned by a culinary degree from The Culinary Institute of America in upstate New York. Originally from Atlanta, Georgia, Aaron completed an internship in Atlanta at Nava under acclaimed chef Kevin Rathbun. Then, he was employed as a Sous Chef by Pinion’s and Cache Cache in Aspen, CO. During his time at these high-end restaurants, Aaron became more intrigued with the idea of combining traditional processes and techniques of classical cuisine with the simplicity of comfort food, BBQ, and Southern fare. Returning to the South, he became the Executive Chef at Blossoms Café in downtown Charleston. Taking his vast experience and and creativity, Aaron opened Fiery Ron’s Home Team BBQ in the Fall of 2006 with the feel of an old Mississippi juke joint. After two successful years, Aaron opened the Sullivan’s Island location in May of 2009 offering BBQ and Southern cuisine at the beach with the addition of a full service dining room added to the company’s brand. Fiery Ron’s Home Team BBQ has won many awards including the Best BBQ, Best Ribs, Best Chicken Wings, Best Burger, Best Bar Scene, Best Jazz & Blues Club and Best Bar Staff in Charleston.
