IHeartRadio announced that Chance The Rapper will receive the Innovator Award next month during the music awards show.
Chance is receiving the IHeartRadio honor for his work in the music industry as well as his dedication to social causes. His nonprofit SocialWorks, helps his hometown of Chicago and the Chicago Public School system. The nonprofit recently held a FREE Black History Month film festival.
Chance recently joined forces with former President, Barack Obama and NBA star Steph Curry for a new PSA for My Brother’s Keeper Alliance (MBK), the former President’s organization, Chance also helped the Obama Foundation kick off its inaugural summit at the end of last year.
The iHeartRadio Music Awards, hosted by DJ Khaled and Hailey Baldwin, will air live from The Forum in Los Angeles on March 11 at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT on TBS, TNT and truTV.
