I'm a firm believer that breakfast dates should be more of a 'thing'. Yes it's nice to go out for dinner, but breakfast is the most important meal of the day; so when it's a special occasion but down that slice of bread and switch off the toaster. Have someone else prepare breakfast for you and add a glass of fizz if you want to!

I should clarify that this breakfast was on Friday and with it being (near enough) the weekend, a glass of champagne with a full English, whilst an absolute luxury, didn't feel completely weird. If it's your birthday or an anniversary or maybe you just fancy a treat, then I absolutely recommend you visit Jesmond Dene House. I've been before for lunch and to their sister, St Mary's Inn for afternoon tea and both visits were great. I'm pleased to say, breakfast was just as great!
