Story: #ChadGetsTheAxe starts when social media star Chad (Levin) leads a team of fellow creators Steve (Bonini), Jennifer (Figueroa) and Spencer (Vitosh) on their latest stream. They are investigating the former home of a satanic cult.

Once the loud influencers cause a storm on the stream, the comments sections turn on them. However, what they end up discovering is far more disturbing than they could have ever imagined.

Verdict on #ChadGetsTheAxe

#ChadGetsTheAxe is a horror movie that uses the live-stream format to follow social media influencers investigating a haunted location. As they bring their loud personalities to life they mock the history of the location. However, after they start disagreeing with each other, things spiral out of control.

I am all for found footage doing something new, with this doing the live stream format. It has been done before and relies on the characters created. The characters we get a full-blown group of annoying over-excited characters. This is planned for a reason and works to show the popularity of these figures. When it comes to the story it is chaotic and doesn’t feel like a horror that you can follow along with much. Not enough of the story feels revealed and it ends up feeling extremely empty by the end.
