If you are celebrating at home we have some suggestions to make things a little easier. Start by reading the VisitScotland e-book all about Robert Burns and how to organise your own Burns Night celebration.
Scotty Brand have introduced Potato Mash and Swede Mash this year. These are an easy convenient way to enjoy Burns Night. I especially hate peeling swede and turnip, so already prepared sides are handy, especially when it's only £1 a pack from ASDA.
MacSween Haggis is our fave supermarket Haggis. They have a tasty vegetarian Haggis as well which is actually vegan-friendly. 👍
Lidl have a special XXL Haggis available this year - over a kilo of Haggis and for a mere £2.79!
Don't fancy making a full dinner? Then how about these wee Haggis Bites, which are little potato croquettes with a mild mix of haggis and turnip, so if you're not too keen on haggis - or neeps for that matter these are mostly potato, and they're gluten-free too! Available at Morrisons.
Or some "authentic Indian" 😆 Haggis Pakora, always a favourite with Mr Foodie, which comes with a sweet and spicy dip.

Burns aboard the Royal Yacht Britannia
On both the 25th and 26th there will be a ticketed traditional Burns Supper aboard The Royal Yacht Britannia.
Be welcomed aboard by Britannia's piper then experience a delicious four-course menu will be served in the State Dining Room.
Traditional Scottish music will be played throughout dinner by Britannia's musicians and the 'Address to a Haggis' will be followed by a Whisky Tasting in the State Drawing Room.
The evening also includes a red carpet welcome, drinks and canapé reception with a highlights tour of The Royal Yacht Britannia.
