Coincidentally - or maybe not - the date in 2004 when Massachusetts was the first state in the Union to legalize same sex marriage. With Minnesota the 12th - and the only one in the center of the country - to legalize same sex marriage we are almost 1/4th of the way to it being recognized nationwide.
