CeCe Winans Wins Two Grammy Awards Celebrates With Church Family
CeCe Winans was the big Gospel winner during Sunday night’s 60th annual Grammy Awards.

CeCe Winans won Best Gospel Album for her latest “Let Them Fall in Love,” and Best Gospel/Performance Song for “Never Have To Be Alone.”

CeCe gets to share the honors with her son, Alvin Love III, who produced and co-wrote her latest album.

The album was a big hit, mainly because it drew from the R&B and Motown sounds of the ‘60s. It was her son’s  idea for his mom to embrace an old-school approach, and she explained to the Tennessean that it took some convincing.

“It was weird for me to say, ‘OK, I really have to do everything he tells me to do,’ as the mom,” Winans told The Tennessean with a laugh. “But it wasn’t hard … I knew that he knew my voice just as well as I knew my voice. And that’s one of the things, I think he came in ahead of all of the other producers I’ve worked with, because he really knows me, and he’s been there for most of my musical years.”

Winans wasn’t in attendance to receive the award, because she and husband, Alvin Love II are the pastors of Nashville Life Church. And since the awards show was on a Sunday they had church service, so they celebrated with their church family.

THANK YOU!!! Here celebrating with my church family, @NashLifeCC! #GRAMMYs pic.twitter.com/6iBaEoBnhH
