The Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) has been directed by the Ministry of Power and Energy to introduce paperless bills and receipts from January to all customers for electricity tariff.
Minister Kanchana Wijesekera said in addition measures will be taken to regulate the fixing of street lamps. He said outsourced services should be done with existing staff and work that cannot be completed by CEB to be done with the assistance of Local Councils.
