The Rhemedies are a four piece indie rock band from Edinburgh. This latest single from the band shows promise has both songs see the band rock out.
Leave me alone is a fast rocking tune in the vein of Primal Scream or Supergrass. It has all the elements of a solid rock song, with blasting energy contrasting nicely with the catchy sing-a-long style choruses. It isn’t anything earth shattering nor does it do anything that hasn’t been done by others but it is quite a bit of fun and would make for a track road tripping soundtrack.
You’ll never see my face again follows in a similar vein only with a more psychedelic twist. The atmospheric / psychedelic elements are more of a tease, that left me wanting more but sadly wasn’t quite satisfied.
This is quite a promising release that shows he bands ability to create energetic rocking music! There is room for development however as the band seem to be picking out the bits they like from their favorite music but aren’t quite doing enough to make the sound their own. Nevertheless it’s a very enjoyable listen.
