Chanel Samson is a Californian girl who is currently in England studying music at at Paul McCartney’s Performing Arts School, LIPA. Her time in England has being the main inspiration behind this her latest EP.

Chanel Samson has a very distinctive voice sounding across between Kate Bush and Dorris Day. The songs cover the feeling of heartbreak and despair but do so in a irreverant and upbeat manner so as to come up with something positive in the end.

FU Matthew is an off-beat 60s style pop tune. The music is lively, energetic, and infectiously catchy while at the same time having a strange twist to it.

This old guy has a country pop feel to it. The song tackles some strong issues around adultery and its fallout all being dressed up in an ironically bright and upbeat vibe.

Little Red Dot is a catchy 50s country / pop sing-a-long tune. Telling the story of a pregnancy scare Chanel Samson delivers the serious lyrics in a carefree and cheerful tone. Her clever vocal delivery provides the interplay between herself and her boyfriend, adjusting to high and low pitches effortlessly.

Worth the gold is a cool rock and roll song. The TV theme esq chorus gives the song immense life, ensuring the EP maintains its energetic high the whole way through.

This is an adorable collection of songs! Each track is full of live with off beat quirky moments and a deeper more thoughtful center. There is a lot to love about this one!
