Are you part of a rondalla group? Do you want to hone your rondalla skills? If yes, then clear your schedule from March to April and join the 3rd National Rondalla Workshop at the Cultural Center of the Philippines. Workshop starts on March 29 to April 2 from 9am to 6pm.
The Cultural Center of the Philippines has been hosting the National Rondalla Workshop for two consecutive years. Same as the previous two years, the third workshop is open to people who are part of a rondalla group which has been existing for two years as well as individuals who want to hone their rondalla skills and technique.
Participants will be undergoing various sessions such as:
- sectional rehearsals per rondalla instrument
- note reading sessions
- individual rondalla ensemble cliniquing sessions
Plus, they will also have plenary sessions where everyone gathers to learn a common piece.
This year's trainors are Elaine Espejo-Cajucom of the Celso Espejo Rondalla and the UP Rondalla, and faculty member of the UP College of Music.
