I know I’m a little late to the game but I felt the need to blog this because this is maybe the most atrocious call I’ve seen in a long time in a MLB baseball game. The umpires have taken heat and will continue to regarding replay but this call is just an example of how an umpire can make the game worse in an single second AND impact a game along the way. On top of all that, he didn’t even seem fazed that he just blew the call. In fact he pretty much laughed about it after it happened.

But the other reason for this blog is to point out that this guy, CB Bucknor, is probably making a shit ton of money to be a terrible umpire 9 months out of the year. That’s right, he only works 9 months, isn’t very good at his job and makes somewhere (probably) around $250,000 per year, plus $340 per game for per diem and he always flies first class. Wrap your head around that one.
This guy sucks at his job but will definitely get a raise this year. CB Bucknor, you can screw off.
P.S. Phillies pitcher who didn’t tag him out, take it down a notch, bro. You didn’t do anything and you just cheated. No reason to act like you won the world series, because in case you’re unaware, your team sucks.
