Andrew Lloyd Webber’s record-breaking musical CATS comes back to Singapore this December for a strictly limited season. Hubby and I caught the musical when they were in town back in 2015 and we definitely will not miss it again this time too. There's something magical about watching musicals several times, you capture and "learn" different things from each experience.
Being one of the longest-running shows in West End and Broadway history, CATS world premiered at the New London Theatre in 1981 where it played for 21 record-breaking years and almost 9,000 performances and since then, it has been presented in over 30 countries, translated into 15 languages and has been seen by more than 81 million people worldwide. Both the original London and Broadway cast recordings won Grammy Awards for Best Cast Album.
