The plot is simple, the lesson even more so. Just when Charlie Brown needs to impress a girl, will his perennially bad luck take a turn for the worse? Will Snoopy ever be able to complete the love novella about the girl of his dreams and the Red Baron? These are simple stories little children can understand, and parents won't have a hard time explaining. But with the magic of 3D animation, parents will have very little trouble letting their kids remember that being an underdog like Charlie Brown is no big deal if you possess the traits that truly matter (you know, like kindness, and stuff.)
Personally, since I have already seen the older animated Peanuts movies, I was already expecting a laid back, simple adventure story about a bunch of kids who just love having fun. In this 3D movie, director Steve Martino was able to capture that atmosphere and just updated it to appeal to today's younger generation. And it didn't hurt that the kid voice actors were nothing short of awesome too.
Can't wait to see Snoopy and the gang in 3D? Listen to the voices of Noah Schnapp (Charlie Brown), Alex Garfin (Linus), Hadley Miller (Lucy) and Francesca Capaldi (Little Red-Haired Girl). Even better, catch Tony and Emmy award winner Kristin Chenoweth voice Snoopy's love interest, Fifi! (TRIVIA: Chenoweth won a Tony and Drama Desk awards in 1999 for her portrayal of Sally Brown in the musical, “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown”.)
