Verdict on Catalyst
Recap
The movie follows seven men who are captured by a mysterious group. They are forced to learn about each other and why they have been selected. However, the bigger questions leave them shocked by why they have been selected.
Best Parts
The movie presents something that could be violent but makes the better decision to give us a discussion based story. It is about understanding people have different problems in life and taking time to understand them could bring something better in life. This is helped by the strong performances that help carry the story and drama behind their stories.
Worst Parts
While it is a nice, restrained concept, most of the stories feel generic and lack that spark which make them feel original or outside the box.
Final Thoughts – Catalyst is an edge of the seat thriller.
