Castlevania has just brought out patch 8.2.0 which includes tons of new content, updates, and fixes. Check out the full patch notes in our coverage today:

Content

New Survivor- Trevor Belmont

New Perk: Eyes of Belmont
The Killer’s aura becomes visible to you for a duration of 1/2/3 seconds after the generator has finished. The duration of the Killer’s aura is extended by two seconds each time it appears.

New Perk: Exultation
Using a pallet to stun the Killer raises the rarity of the held item to the next level and recharges 25% of its maximum charges. There is a 40/35/30-second cooldown for this bonus. After the trial, rarity is not retained.

New Perk: Moment of Glory
You need to open or search through two chests before this Perk becomes active. You get broken when you get hurt. One health state will automatically recover in 80, 70, or 60 seconds. After that, this benefit expires.

The moment you reach the dying condition, its effect is nullified. If the Broken status effect is already present on you, this perk will not become active.

New Killer – The Dark Lord

Killer Power
He can wreak revenge on people by using his dark power to take on various shapes and scare and kill them.

The Dark Lord is capable of switching between his three forms at will. Every Form possesses certain skills and advantages.

Vampire Form: The Dark Lord may utilize the potent Hellfire spell in his default form, which causes flame pillars to shoot out of the ground in front of him and to cross low obstructions.

Wolf Form: The Dark Lord can use a number of skills in Wolf Form to improve tracking efficiency. There are more obvious blood pools and scratches, and Survivors who run leave a trail of Scent Orbs in their wake. These Scent Orbs can be gathered by the Dark Lord to charge a potent Pounce attack and receive a brief, non-stacking haste boost.

Bat Form: The Dark Lord acquires the Undetectable status effect when he assumes the Bat Form. In addition, he can Teleport to any vault point within 32 meters, travel more quickly, and ignore vault points. The survivors turn invisible, but their marks remain visible.

Updates

Multiple updates have been brought to a number of killers including The Doctor, The Dredge, the Knight and The Nemesis.

Survivor Perk Updates

Blast Mine 
Comes online when generator repairs have progressed 40% of the way. (was fifty percent)

Chemical Trap 
Becomes active when generator repairs have progressed 20% overall. (was fifty percent)
lasts for forty, fifty, or sixty seconds. (was 110, 120, or 100 seconds).

Dance With Me
Cooldown shortened to 30/25/20 seconds. 60/50/40 seconds were used.

Deception
Cooldown shortened to 30/25/20 seconds. 60/50/40 seconds were used.

Diversion
After spending 30/25/20 seconds outside of a chase and within the Killer’s Terror Radius, diversion becomes active. (30, 35, and 40 seconds)

Flashbang 
Comes on when generator repairs have progressed 50/45/40% of the way. (was 70/60/50%)

Mirrored Illusion
After completing 20% of the generator repairs, Mirrored Illusion becomes active. (was fifty percent)

Wiretap
After completing 40% of the repairs needed to fix generators, Wiretap activates. (was fifty percent)

Bug Fixes

Audio

  • Repaired a bug that prevented the Long Grass from producing any sound when it collided.
  • Fixed a bug that caused the Season Grade Reset Rewards to sound repeatedly without displaying anything.
  • Corrected the locker warning sound from Killer’s point of view that was too weak.
  • Resolved a problem where the Greenville Square Arcade Machine Pallet SFX was not playing.
  • Rebalanced Were-Elk voiceovers in contrast to standard Huntress voiceovers.

Characters

  • Resolved a problem that occasionally prevented the Trapper from picking up bear traps even if the animation continued to play when the Naughty Bear costume was on.
  • Fixed a bug that occasionally resulted in the cancellation of putting a trap as many characters (Trapper, Hag, or Nightmare) near walls or other objects, even though the placement indication indicated a legal location.
  • When the Survivor accesses a locker and the Dredge teleports there simultaneously, the Survivor grab animation now lines up properly.
  • Actions such as opening and closing the Match Details page and passing through a tunnel are no longer possible for the Demogorgon.
  • When watching Killers, one should try to be less jittery. There are still some problems with the Killer’s weaponry, and they are being investigated.
  • The Nurse’s left hand stopped animating when she held her power for longer than expected due to a fixed bug.
  • Fixed a bug that made the Were-elk’s axe tremble in the Killer’s lobby when it was picked.
  • Repaired a bug that made The Good Guy’s camera tilt strangely when he picked up a survivor.
  • Resolved a problem that resulted in Elodie Rakoto’s Old Cami Torso modification having a vertex protrude from her shoulder.
  • Fixed a bug that prevented the player’s model from following the camera when they dashed off after opening a killer crate or chest.
  • Resolved a bug that occasionally prevented the player from being teleported by the Hand of Vecna.
