We ranked Castle Breaker characters based on their magical attacks and their overall versatility in passing levels in the campaign’s Insane mode.
The best characters in Castle Crashers are Tier S, while the weakest characters are Tier D. So let’s start with the best.
Castle Crashers Tier List – Tier S (Best Characters)
These are the best knights, regardless of their starting weapons, outperforming all other characters in the Insane mode:
- Blue Knight
- Industrialist
- Red Knight
- Iceskimo
- Fencer
Castle Crashers Tier List – Tier A (Good Characters)
These are still very good characters, and you can easily get through a lot of levels, both solo and co-op.

- Snakey
CC Tier List – Tier B (Average Characters)
- Alien
- Conehead
- Cult Minion
- Gray Knight
- Necromancer

Slightly below average characters, these knights aren’t great and really shouldn’t be used unless you like their feats and magic attacks. In that case, yes, go play.

In our personal opinion, we think these are the weakest characters in the game right now. You should only use these if you don’t unlock better ones from higher levels.
