Cartoonist Joan Cornella Released “MOAR” NFT Collection

Joan Cornellà, a Spanish artist, famous for his joyful palette yet dark comic strips comics, has released his initial NFT project in April this year in partnership with FWENCLUB, a digital and physical asset management platform.

The Cornella series “MOAR”, has 5555 special, hand-drawn NFTs, consisting of fifty “legendary artworks” based on the artist’s iconic male and female paintings with more than 180 exclusive features.

The series will focus on a mansion in the metaverse named MOAR, where 5,555 “creatures with their souls minted with the ERC721 blockchain as NFTs.”

74% of the whole supply will be provided to the public in the Netherlands auction, while the 5 percent will be maintained by Cornellà and FWENCLUB. However, a whitelist containing the FWENCLUB Discord Association. Hanai’s NFT holders, NFT communities, and social builders will receive the remaining 21 percent.

At the time of writing, MOAR is appearing on OpenSea as well, with a floor price of 0.94 ETH. The “Legendary” MOAR #1, the series’ “most valuable and popular” profile picture NFT, presently has a supreme bid of 3.4 ETH or more than $10,800 in the NFT marketplace.

In addition to digital assets, holders will get airdropped raffle tickets for an opportunity to get a 3D avatar in the metaverse, entry to Cornella’s physical and virtual exhibition, and unique buying rights to the artist’s physical and digital art including toys, sculptures , paintings, and more digital assets.

As reported by the FWENCLUB website, the MOAR NFT drop is only the tip on the way in the future. Ahead of the “grand opening” of the MOAR metaverse scheduled in November 2022, a mini-game will be released and unique prizes for community engagement will be awarded in May and June, successively.

Joan Cornella is famed for his surreal dark, humor artworks shared on Web2 social media. Apart from this, the cartoonist has achieved international fame for his satirical social commentary images, which showcase his work in different art epicenters like New York and Hong Kong.
