Carrie Underwood is back with an emotional new song ‘Cry Pretty’
On the new heartfelt single that premiered on iHeartRadio, Carrie Underwood shares how we can pretty much fake our way through anything, but we can’t “Cry Pretty”
“You can pretty lie, and say it’s OK / You can pretty smile, and just walk away / Pretty much fake your way through anything / But you can’t cry pretty,” Underwood sings. “You can’t turn off the flood, when the dam breaks / When all your mascara is going to waste / When things get ugly, you just gotta face that you can’t cry pretty.”
After a fall last winter at her home in Nashville that left her having to get 40-50 stitches in her face, Underwood is set to make her first public appearance Sunday when she performs her new single, “Cry Pretty,” at the Academy of Country Music Awards.
Cry Pretty, is from her forthcoming sixth studio album.
