True Blood’s Carrie Preston has been cast as the female lead opposite Patrick Warburton in NBC’s untitled multi-camera Suzanne Martin pilot, from Hazy Mills and Universal TV. It chronicles how things backfire for recent empty-nesters Mike Gunn (Warburton) and Martina Gunn (Preston) when their children and their parents move back home. Stacy Keach plays Mike’s dad. James Burrows is directing from a script by Martin, who executive produces with Sean Hayes and Todd Milliner.
Carrie Preston won an Emmy for her recurring role on The Good Wife as quirky attorney Elsbeth Tascioni. The True Blood alumna also is recurring on the new Showtime comedy series Happyish.
