Plot: Two pairs of parents Penelope (Foster), Michael (Reilly) and Nancy (Winslet), Alan (Waltz) hold a cordial meeting after their sons are involved in a fight, though as their time together progresses increasingly childish behavior throws the discussion into chaos.
Verdict: Should have stay on the stage
Story: It is hard to criticize a story that is a play but this doesn’t make a very interesting film, the story relies on the power of the acting as it only really tells about how two marriages are struggling under the surfaces and the confrontation about their children’s behavior makes it all come out. Each of the reason is very generic and has been looked at many times before. (6/10)

Jodie Foster: Penelope the mother of the victim of the fight, who tries to keep it all calm but let’s some comments out that lead to the next argument. Good performance from Jodie. (8/10)
Kate Winslet: Nancy the long suffering wife of Alan who tries to make peace between the families but soon let’s everything out and thinks her son was right. Good performance from Kate. (8/10)
Christoph Waltz: Alan the business man who spends most of his time on the phone while he lets his wife deal with any issue in the home. Good performance from Christoph. (8/10)
John C Reilly: Michael the simple everyday man whose son is the victim, he tries to be nice about everything, trying to be neutral but soon sides with his wife before letting out everything. Good performance from John. (8/10)

Drama: Tries to create something that sticks the audience attention but fails to do so. (4/10)
Settings: With the single shot in the apartment the setting is all about keep the couples together to talk things out. This works well for the story, but also shows why it is a better play. (6/10)
Suggestion: This is one to try, I wouldn’t be recommending it to anyone to watch in film form, but I feel the play may be interesting to see. (Try It)
