I am back with another new found Food Joint Review. This time I am reviewing a Chinese food joint named CANTON KITCHEN ~ Fresh Flavors of China, situated in TDI paragon Mall, Rajouri Garden.
Well this discovery happened last week when I went shopping with my bestie…We had been out shopping since morning and it was 4.30 in the evening and a whole jungle of hungry animals was dancing in our stomachs. Due to time constraint we were not really planning for a proper meal, so we took a Kathi roll from the TasteDrive counter outside the Westgate mall and started walking towards Shoppers Stop, but apparently that kathi roll made us so hungry that we had to stop for a proper meal…and I am glad that we stopped at Canton Kitchen else I wouldn’t have found another nice eating out option <3
Let’s start with the various aspects of the joint.
Ambience – It’s a small glass walled joint, the first thing you will probably notice will be the pretty red and black wallpaper on the single wall that they have in their joint. The sitting arrangement is very basic with wooden tables and chairs with the cutlery nicely arranged on the table. You can also enjoy watching your food being made in front of your eyes since they have an open kitchen.
Staff – I found the staff helpful and welcoming.
Menu – The menu is pretty vast for the size of the joint. They have laid out their menu nicely keeping in mind the food options for vegetarians as well as non vegetarian people. And you can always ask the staff to help you decide your order.
Taste – I ordered for a veg combo meal and I loved everything. I wasn’t expecting a lot in terms of the taste but the food pleasantly surprised me. I won’t say that it was authentic but yes it was far better then what we get in Yo China sort of joints.
And yes i finished everything..he he!!
Service – It was quick, it hardly took 7 to 8 minutes for my order.
Overall I would say that I liked the food, the quantity was good, the price is very pocket friendly, service is fast, and you pay only after you have eaten <3 The only flaw about this place I think is that it can only accommodate around 10 to 15 people at a time. But I think it’s more of a take away joint coz I saw a lot of people calling in to order, so it doesn't matter..!!
