Canada offers an extension of work permits to international students who no longer have it or are determined to expire between September 20, 2021 and December 31, 2022. According to Sean Fraser, Canadian Immigration Minister, this student will be given an additional 18 -permission of open work of the month under the Post Work Permit program -Graduates (PGWPP).
When the Canadian economy continues to recover, “There are still hundreds of thousands of jobs waiting to be filled,” Canadian immigration Minister Sean Fraser Tweeted. “International graduates who work hard make a major contribution to their community and our economy.””We are now expanding post -graduate work permits for international graduates whose permits end or will end between September 20, 2021 and December 31, 2022.””Tens of thousands of former international students will receive additional open work permits for 18 months, give them the opportunity to stay in Canada longer, and help businesses find the workers they need while allowing us to continue to attract global talent,” Fraser added.
The Minister of Immigration Canada also said, “This special step is a potential growth in the economy, and will allow more graduates to make their homes. Thank you to all people who collaborate with my team to expand this program, and to international and post -graduate students who continue to choose Canada. “Students who have graduated from the Learning Institution appointed by Canada who are eligible (DLI) meet the requirements to apply for an open work permit through PGWPP, which allows them to get valuable Canadian work experience.
Students who have completed their study programs are allowed to work while they are waiting for decisions about their applications for post-graduate work permits, as long as they meet all the requirements listed below:
