Dr. Lawrence Mead, professor of public policy and political science at NYU, just had an article published in which he said that African Americans lived better under slavery and Jim Crow than they have since the end of it. (I've actually heard this parroted in some UU and other liberal religious circles)
Daniel Feller, at the only presentation for SHEAR2020 (Society for Historians of the Early American Republic), used the slur Re*s***s and that Indian Removal was not a bad thing.
