Camra Membership, I’ll Drink to That!

My Camra membership pack and membership card arrived on Saturday.
Ironically it arrived to a house without any beer in it.
Double irony, I’ve not been to a pub in ages because I’ve been too busy with house renovations. This is a major problem, and one I plan on fixing A.S.A.P.

The Camra membership pack included several sheets of vouchers. Not just any vouchers, money off beer vouchers.

Each sheet contains 10 vouchers giving 50p off of a pint of real ale.
The vouchers are redeemable at all Wetherspoon pubs, and Lloyd No.1 bars.

The vouchers are good, we like Wetherspoon pubs, or more specifically we like the decent real ale, and the reasonable prices.
My only niggle is that on the back of the vouchers the list detailing the terms and conditions says, ‘Only one voucher per person, per visit’. We like to relax and enjoy a couple of pints when we drink in a Wetherspoon pub, but now we’ll feel like having just 1 pint before leaving and finding another Wetherspoon pub. We can’t let the 50p off a pint vouchers go to waste.

It seems silly that we can’t use as many vouchers as we want in one pub, because we’ll still be spending the same amount of money, but in different branches of Wetherspoon.

Vouchers terms and conditions aside, I am, and so is Mrs.R, very pleased to be members of the campaign for real ale.

We just wish the house renovations would hurry up and be completed, so we can get down the pub.
