As the weekend unfolds a real masked killer arrives on camp and starts picking the counsellors off for real. Meanwhile, the guests are having the experience of a lifetime trying to figure out what happened. However, nothing will prepare them for the truth.
Verdict on Camp Pleasant Lake
Camp Pleasant Lake is a horror slasher following an adventure weekend trying to solve a murder mystery. However, things take a turn for the worse, when a real killer arrives with their agenda. While the guests think it is part of the show, it becomes clear to everyone else it is real.
The slasher subgenre has struggled in recent years and after decades of franchises dominating, could we have a new addition? Well, if you are a slasher fan, you are going to have a lot of fun with this movie. It covers the bigger story with comedy, as the guests believe everything is an act. While the big story creates a convincing backstory, we get a strong motivation behind the killer. The one thing this movie lacks is the gnarly iconic kill, which can make any slasher stand out from the crowd. In the end, you can have a lot of fun with this movie, and it can be added to the enjoyable slasher movies.
Where to Watch
