I’m not usually one for shameless plugging but in this instance an exception had to be made. Prosper Rochester is one of Rochester’s many gems hidden in plain site. Birthed from the now defunct Seedfolk Store, Prosper Rochester is a non-for-profit space that is ready to embrace Rochester’s young, women, minority, and other entrepreneurs and small business owners. Sitting on the outskirts of downtown in the heart of the National Historic Register Susan B. Anthony District and its neighboring SouthWest Quadrant neighborhoods, ProsperRochester is simply put; a community networking space. Part commercial kitchen, part internet cafe, part conference room Prosper Rochester has a mission to connect, support, uplift, and upbuild women and minority owned small business owners.

So it is with great excitement & humility that I officially announce that I’ve joined ProsperRochester’s executive team as the new Associate Executive Director. Myself along with Executive Director (and co-founder) Eleanor Coleman have aligned our passions and expertise to take Prosper to the next level.

“This partnership is truly divinely inspired and I am at the best place that I’ve ever been in my adult life”

Our mission is to be an economical alternative for business owners looking for kitchen or meeting space to cook, dream, and strategize. We are a community networking hub. A small business incubator and a collective of change agents looking to improve and revitalize the National Historic Register Susan B. Anthony District and its neighboring SouthWest Quadrant neighborhoods.

It’s no secret that the West Main section of downtown is a region that continues to be overlooked for economic and business development. My goal in conjunction with Prosper is to change this sobering fact. We need more community members and leaders to reach out and support small business and non-for-profits in this community. The health of our city depends on organizations like ProsperRochester.
