Having an infant means forget about any predictability in your schedule, no matter how organized you are.  You can however, get a little respite from the chaos if your home is adorned in soothing colors and other elements that bring you calm (even if the sofa is piled with yesterday's laundry and the sink is full of dirty dishes).
