If you love wine, learning about new and interesting places, being exposed to art, literature and different cultures- have I got the blog for you. It is titled Schiller-Wine and it’s the creation of my friend, Christian Schiller- but even if we had never met, I could spend a lot of time visiting with him there.
He introduces you to and reviews wines primarily from Germany, France and the States. He utilizes a lot of visuals and offers interesting facts about each and the people, past and present, behind them.
Spending time on Christian’s blog is like taking a trip to Eberbach Abbey in the Rheingau, Germany or perhaps to Reims, Champagne, France. There you will get a virtual experience of the culture, history, cuisine, geography- and the people who inhabit those places.
As a part time resident of Virginia, Christian also writes about and praises some of the fine wines we have here. Again, he will tell you what each offers and where you can find them.
So, if you are already a wine connoisseur or would like to become one, Christian’s blog is a great place to start. It’s also a great way to expand your horizons if you are on a tight budget.
