The California Highway Patrol operates approximately 30 aircraft out of about 8 different locations throughout the state and this was the largest airshow presence that I’ve seen. The CHP has 11 Airbus (Eurocopter) AS350 helicopters in their fleet for law enforcement and search and rescue duties. The newest addition to the CHP is the GA-8 Airvan utility aircraft produced by the Australian firm GippsAero. Nikon D7100 w/ 18-200 mm, processed with Aperture and Aurora HDR.
