Plot: A working-class girl from Guatemala City travels to a small coastal town to infiltrate a gang in order to find her missing sister.

Story: Cadejo Blanco starts when Sarita (Karen Martinez) and her sister Bea (Pamela Martinez) look to enjoy a night out. However, in the morning, Bea is nowhere to be found and Sarita starts investigating what might have happened. The police want nothing to do with the case, forcing Sarita to step into the criminal world to locate a gang who are behind her sister’s disappearance. Sarita learns more about this harsh world, which sees her doing things she never would have imagined.
Verdict on Cadejo Blanco
Cadejo Blanco is a drama thriller following a young woman who goes in search of her missing sister. It involves her getting up close and personal with a gang, where she learns their operations to get the answers she wants.
This movie dives into a criminal underbelly in Guatemala as we see how the gangs operate. It uses the unlikely person getting involved for answers, becoming a smooth operating member of the gang. This has a raw feeling about everything, which exposes how things work, showing the brutality involved. Even though there are some interesting twists on how the locals react to the changes. Karen Martinez is brilliant in the leading role, showing us the raw involvement of what her character must go through.
