Need For Comfort
Today has been a day that I unexpectedly needed comfort. The ups and downs of mom life and internet life have collided on this day, as life would have it, and it is a good day for the coziest of sweaters and time spent cuddling my sick baby and being thankful for friendships I have made
This sweater from Tobi is exactly the kind of sweater I could wear every day and not tire of it. In fact, I have worn it several days in a row. And I am not sorry. It is the easiest sweater to throw on with jeans for an oversized-chic vibe, or to bring a vintage dress down from fancy to relaxed in a pinch.
Its thick cable knit, slouchy fit, large pockets, and longer length are everything I look for in a sweater. Not to mention the color! It is so gloriously fall that I find myself wearing it and wishing for a mug of cider to complete the warm, autumnal feel. So on the days when the internet feels scary and the kids are sick and the weather is gray, I have been reaching for this small measure of comfort to throw on and conquer the day. You would think something so simple as a sweater would not be that effective, but I have always believed in the power of dressing.Dressing for how you want to feel, or for how you do feel, or for who you want to be or who you believe you are. Clothes can sometimes make or break the day. This sweater definitely always makes it better!
Do you have an item of clothing that just makes every day that much sweeter?
