The Court of Appeal yesterday dismissed a petition filed by Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka (PUCSL) Chairman, Janaka Ratnayake, requesting the removal of sections blaming his conduct in a Court of Appeal judgment in a case related to the disconnection of electricity during the Advanced Level exam period.
The Court of Appeal decided yesterday (23) to dismiss the petition without hearing. The Court of Appeal dismissed the petition stating that there were no substantial facts to allow the request or to hear the petition.
After considering the facts presented, the Court decided that there is no legal basis to hear this petition and dismissed the petition.
