Shame on them. It's not like he has gone into a shameful retirement because of a disgraced presidency. Instead of painting shlocky naked self-portraits and shlocky dog pictures, Carter has been a significant figure on the world stage, from Habitat for Humanity to being part of solving an horrific public health issue, parasitism by the bloody and painful guinea worm in unsafe drinking water.
