Story: C’mon C’mon starts when journalist Johnny (Phoenix) is trying to support his sister Viv (Hoffman). She is going through a tough time with her husband Paul (McNairy) and Johnny is asked to look after their son Jesse (Norman). This sees the pair travel to New York for Johnny’s latest job.

Johnny’s latest project is meeting young people around the city and learning about their points of view on the world. With each interview, Johnny finds himself a chance to connect with Jesse more, even if caring for him becomes more challenging than he imagined.

Verdict on C’mon C’mon

C’mon C’mon is a drama following an uncle and nephew that are given time to bond. They are pushed together due to his parents needing time to focus on things in life. As they spend time together, they get to learn a lot about each other and prepare the nephew for changes that might come his way.

This is a touching drama that dives into human relationships and the changes that have come along. It shows that a generational gap has been created and that people see the world in so many different ways. There is a sprinkling of interviews with other young people that show how they feel about the world right now. This all comes together well to create a story that grows as the friendship does.

Final ThoughtsC’mon C’mon is a charming, touching coming-of-age tale.
