I agree the TB timeline is murky. I am going by what AB said recently regarding Jessica that she has only been a vampire for a week or two at most. If Bill had simply shirked his responsibility to Jessica and turned her out on her own just because he wasn’t interested I’d agree with you but that wasn’t the case. In fact he told Sookie they could not turn her out. He entered an agreement with Eric to mentor Jessica for a time which Eric reneged on. The only guidance Eric and Pam gave Jess was to feed on humans though not when to stop then they brought her home pronto. In a short time Bill rescued Jessica’s dad and glamoured the family, took Sookie to be healed from the maenad attack, demanded a better fee for Sookie’s services in Dallas, brought poor tortured Lafayette home, shopped for clothing for Jessica, tried to help her find just the right mix of trublood, gave her a curfew to go to ground, took her to Dallas and taught her how to glamour,ask Hoyt to get her home safely while he rushed off rescue Sookie,he had saved Barry from Lorena to keep her from draining him and escaped Lorena. He does not want Lorena to know about Jessica. Goes thru all that hoopla in Dallas in the aftermath of the explosion and having his human tricked by Eric to ingest his blood, returns home to find BT had been taken over by a maenad. Becomes ill from biting MA while trying to give Sookie a chance to escape. Glamours Tara and brings her out of her trance. Off to the queen to seek advice how to kill MA is held there to play games with the queen. Gets home with a plan, demands Sam to help and saves the town. Weakened from Sam feeding from him he disposed of MA’s body. The next night he is kidnapped. No doubt I am leaving something out but as you see even for a vampire that is a pretty busy and hectic week or so. There really hasn’t been a lot of time for vampire lessons 101 though I think they were headed in that direction. Bill and Sookie even talked about it sitting on the steps before leaving for Dallas. Bill did not leave Jessica he was kidnapped. I think even those that don’t like Bill would be able to cut him some slack. If you are unable to do so I suppose we will have to agree to disagree and leave it there.
