Billionaire investor Mark Cuban has big opinions about high-worth real estate investments taking on decentralized blockchains.
In a late interview with Altcoin Daily, Cuban interpreted the action of purchasing land in the metaverse as “super mega immaculately dumb.”
The Shark Tank investor decided with Altcoin Daily’s Aaron Arnold to associate the term metaverse with the term cyberspace in the nineties.
The worst aspect is people are purchasing real estate in these areas. that’s just the dumbest sh*t ever,” explained Cuban.
“It’s not even as decent as a URL or ENS because there are endless volumes that you can build.”
Without speaking of any particular crypto programs, Cuban announced he would be less unwilling to metaverse real estate donations once they have a population in the area because they can discover areas with discerned importance founded on how the community works.
Earlier this year, Curzio Research spent $5 million to attain a piece of real land in the TCG World metaverse. This sale outpaced the last contract held by The Sandbox.
